Taking the next steps to eliminate cervical cancer
We’re working with governments across Africa to improve coverage of the life-saving HPV vaccine for young women and girls in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
Challenge
Bringing a life-saving vaccine to those who need it most
Cervical cancer is a leading cause of cancer death for women in LMICs. Despite the availability of a safe, effective, single-dose HPV vaccine, coverage in these areas remains critically low due to delivery challenges.
Those working to improve HPV vaccine roll-out are asking the same questions in different contexts, like:
Delivery strategies
What delivery strategies work best in schools and/or rural areas?
Trust Building
How do we build trust, demand, and uptake in underserved communities?
Best practices
What are best practices related to timing, messaging, and coordination?
The HPV Living Evidence Partnership is identifying evidence-based approaches that address these challenges and drive high, sustainable, equitable coverage of HPV vaccination.

A dynamic evidence system made for decision-makers
We’re creating a suite of tools that puts the latest, most reliable evidence into the hands of health ministries in LMICs so they can take action with proven strategies for improving HPV vaccine coverage.

An easy-to-search library of effective HPV delivery evidence from around the world.
Interactive Evidence Map
A visual tool to explore what evidence exists on HPV by location, strategy, population, or outcome.
Decision Support Tools
Evidence summaries, briefing notes, and guides tailored to specific, country-level needs.
